Grant's Farm and Greenhouse Open House 2015'... It was rainy but we went prepared and loved every minute!!

Grant's Farm and Greenhouse is OPEN FOR BUSINESS! The spring kick off began Saturday and Sunday with a free cookout, donuts, and drinks! Not to mention 20% off your entire purchase. We just love Danny Grant and his entire team! They work incredibly hard to start wonderful plants from seed at 3 AMAZING locations! Check out their facebook page

It was a wet and rainy day so we came prepared! Kansas and Justin sure came in handy, carting around the plants from greenhouse to greenhouse and holding trays while the ladies put in different flowers and veggies!
GORGEOUS PLANTS READY TO GO!
That is me with a poncho under a rain "resistant" jacket. It's all the rage in rain gear you see

Kansas and Justin played along and held up the Bachelor Button plants... get it Bachelor Buttons? Okay, bad joke!

No more pot heads...

Justin has been our resident photographer, taking pictures of the beautiful flowers all over Grant's!!  We went to their main location, "The Farm,"  on Bucktown Rd about 15-20 mins from our neck of the woods,   straight out 131.

But we stopped by the satellite greenhouse a little closer to home, still on 131 and MAN OH MAN  they have  done wonders with that space!!! Danny hired a multi generation family to work there. We saw the grandfather, daughter, and 16 yr old granddaughter. (who was kind enough to give me a tour of all the new things they have going on up there). They  all put in tons of hours of hard work to make this place really stand out. I hear the grandad loves working up there so much he has never taken a day off... 7 days a week!  I gotta tell you, we love both locations, and the satellite in
Milford, but the one right on 131 is just so spiffy and cheery and blooming all over the place!! Great job guys! Grant also has several tomato plants in the back greenhouses to sell ripe tomatoes to ya'll pretty soon!

So, this is some of what we came away with! We got some perrdy annuals that will spread their wings and a few tomatoes, herbs, and peppers to supplement what we've already got started!

All and all it was a wet rainy day spent with friends and hanging out with Danny Grant and his gang up at the farm! Like their fb page and stay tuned to all the great things they've got going...OH, and most importantly, take a drive out there and see what meets your fancy!
